About
Camino King started as travel notes from my first Camino in 2016 and grew into the place I wish I had found before my own first step. Clear routes, honest gear and stories from the trail that get you ready for your own walk.
For me it was never only about the kilometres. It is about the people you meet around the long table in the evening, about the yellow arrow that shows up again just when you start to doubt, and about the feeling of standing on a ridge with the whole day laid out in front of you. That feeling is what I want to help you reach.
Everything here has been walked, worn or weighed before it gets recommended. The advice has to hold all the way to Santiago, not just up to the checkout. I want you to come home well, with a story you feel like telling again and again. Now and then other walkers write along and share what they have seen, because the best advice rarely comes from one person alone.
From the first climb in the Pyrenees to the Portuguese coast, from Danish coastal paths to mountains far from home. I write about the routes that take your breath away, and I pack each guide with what you actually need: maps, stages, packing lists, food for the long days, and answers to the questions everyone asks before their first trip.
The kilometres go on Strava most days of the week. In time we want to take Camino King offline too, with talks and shared walks on the routes, so the way becomes something we do together and not just read about. It starts where the readers already are.
